Snowboarding Life
started out as my concept of the lifestyle behind snowboarding for avid adult riders. Starting from my beginning as a rider in 2000, I have been searching for media targeted to people like me. I model this idea from Ski Magazine and how they offer in-depth how-to's, gear reviews, travel tips...etc for people seeking intelligent content in regard to the overall lifestyle. By trade, I am a graphic designer/art director working in the publishing media. I know what it means to publish magazines, books and websites that offer interesting content for enthusiasts. So, as an enthusiast, it has frustrated me for all these years not to be offered this kind of content in any of the current media choices for snowboarders. What has been offered is great for a totally different demographic.
My concept is to provide informative news about the sport for recreational riders. This is not about pros on the pro tour. This site will provide how-to's, travel tips on various resorts and backcountry options, gear reviews and an on-going journal that talks about the day-to-day happenings I encounter during the season. In addition, I want to exhibit exciting photography and video as eye candy and inspiration to others so that they can see how they can achieve their goals when they visit the mountain for a day of riding.
Snowboarding Life is a new project I consider fun to work on. It will constantly be evolving as each season passes with changes geared towards providing an audience with content they want to learn about.
